👋 Hello #fediverse ! Abelio is a new work-in-progress federated media publishing platform aiming to become a #tumblr and #photoblog alternative for #artists and any sort of #creators (#writers included).

I don't have any demo to show you yet but i needed a way to announce and ask for things - so if you care, please follow! Here is how admin panel looks so far.

@skobkin Entire "frontend" part of such website (design) will be customizable with a HTML template editor, built into this panel just like on tumblr - which means full controll over how your website looks to people :)

@abelio What inspired you to make your own fediverse ordering? Or what foundational thoughts will guide the development?

@vegafjord simply put - i (@mbajur) really wish there was a way for artists and any sort of creators to setup a website they can customize a layout of and post their stuff in a way not restricted by any platform limitations (visual-wise). I need such for myself badly and none of current solutions works for me. Also, i'm not sure what you mean by "your own fediverse ordering"?

@abelio Im just experimenting with alternate words for platform, because I dont like that word. It kind of creates the wrong idea about how the fediverse is built up.

Either way, I like the idea! This is exactly the direction the fediverse should move towards.

@vegafjord gotcha! Actually, the platform word in abelio context is a bit tricky as Abelio is gonna be a single-user only for the start. So that might actually not be a platform at all ;)
