@halva Honestly, a reasonable use case.
It's quite possibly AI shite and that part still sucks, but at least that could be helpful for some people.
Maybe not as "rich" and flavourful as the originals, but could be useful for people that would otherwise have issues reading the books.
(Though, of course, would be much better if it was done with properly paid intelligent editors)
@flesh @halva Yes, putting the environmental impact aside for a moment, not being able to rely on this technology renders it pretty useless.
I do agree that this is a valid problem to solve, but current "AI" is not the right tool. It's the same thing with blind people relying on these for describing images:
