@Shrigglepuss @Alice_Swaggen yeee! My god! Itβs magnificent! I have no idea where you live and I now do wonder where you can find beautiful bugs as this oneβ¦ π²  @mathilde @Alice_Swaggen I've never seen a bug this big in the wild in my life! Alice is like some sort of bug whisperer I swear @Shrigglepuss @mathilde it was more of an excited squeal when I saw it if Iβm honest, I may have jumped up and down slightly too π€£ @Alice_Swaggen @Shrigglepuss I would have reacted the same way! Maybe you have been able to see my pictures and videos of fire salamanders?? Itβs astonishing to find such a specie in the middle of a city like London! I was in Southern England and then Wales last summer. I would have guessed you would find a bug like that in the latter place. π @mathilde @Shrigglepuss I do remember seeing salamanders on the feed I canβt remember if they were yours or not, Iβd love to see them if youβre able to share a link to them! Those are on my list to find as well :blobaww: Itβs honestly so exciting to find them every time, some years I donβt see any stag beetles at all @mathilde @Shrigglepuss just boring old London, but weβve got some piles of dead wood in the garden and they love it. This is one of the most majestic bugs weβve got in the uk, definitely the biggest!  @nev I was thinking I have seen dogs smaller than this one! @Alice_Swaggen        @JamesK right? Theyβre pretty strong too! He didnβt wouldnβt leave at first when I offered a tree branch to climb onto @Alice_Swaggen I know I live in a place full of wonderful wildlife, but I am jealous of those who live alongside these beauties.  |
