@teajaygrey Thank you, Yeah I only realised when getting to the end of the Video. Following them on here now. I normally do avoid youtube quite often but I know when sharing this to those who don't know anything about Mastodon, YouTube might be the best option.

Nice entry with the Ford-Musk comparison.
By the way: Henry Ford was a frenetic antisemite and he first published the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" in the US in his own newspaper "The Dearborn Independent". Ford bought the newspaper 17 years after its establishment.
And (I didn't know that until now) Musk also bought Twitter 17 years after it was established and then he published #antisemitism
This means nothing of course, but it'd be funny if it wasn't so awful :blobconfused:

@sam The problem is that for most people who want to leave #Twitter/X, as close a replacement as possible (minus Musk) is EXACTLY what they want.

@lauren I agree. I find Mastodon rather less efficient than twitter when it comes to having a thread of related exchanges.

@lauren So they can go to Threads or Bluesky. Mastodon isn't about fighting with people like Twitter has been like for as long as I can remember.

@sam That's the kind of attitude that has driven many very useful people off of Mastodon back to X/Twitter or Bluesky. I'm gradually reaching my tolerance level here also, even though I have almost twice as many followers here as I ever had on Twitter.

@manu It loads pretty fast for me, as fast if not faster than YouTube is. Also yes this is the video by the creator cross posted onto PeerTube as mentioned in their video.
