In theory, yes. But, what if Torment Nexus establishes a monopoly?
Yet again, in theory, a new kid on the block could appear and challenge the corporation. However, facing a great power, they would face the three volleys of corporate warfare- lawsuits, acquisitions, corporate sabotage.
So, can people "vote with their feet"? Yes, and they should. But only so long as no monopoly can be established. The issue is that a fully free market cannot prevent the formation of monopolies.

@markmetz Same with the flip side, of reducing a subsidy or exposing to liability. Bankrupt the feds for an injustice, but product liability is an assault on freedom.
