For all Amazfit devices except the original Amazfit Bip a secret key is needed, the key exchange goes though the manufacturers servers and is cryptographically secure.

Can't be bypassed.

Or is Amzfit the only company managing it this way?

Not huawei/honor. You don't need to obtain the secret key for those.

Fossil for example is like Amazfit - which does need a secret key.

I know it is a bit confusing.

With Xiaomi we mean the new Xiaomi protocol, not the manufacturer which used the Huami protocol before.

So for the mi band , the Mi band 8 is a Xiaomi device. Previous bands were Huami protocol.

All devices saying "requires Xiaomi token to pair" is what we call Xiaomi: in changelog.

I know - confusing.

Hi. On gadgedbridge.org
the Huawei Watch Fit 2 was listed as "mostly supported", but the app dosn't know it (not supported). I can't find this model in the release notes.
Pairing with 'similar models' such as the Huawei Watch GT2 pro, GT3 pro, GT4, Ultimate or Talk Band 4 is not possible (fails to authenticate) and requires the Huawei Open Health app. Pairing as a Watch Fit fails totally.
Who can give some advice?
