@Affekt @futurebird @fraggle I was looking at kitchen scales recently and came across one that for some reason had Bluetooth. What's worse, according to reviews, it wouldn't even work at all unless paired to something despite having a display. I did not buy that one.
@mansr @futurebird @fraggle right after I started in the industry I saw furnace filters with BLE. I'm pretty sure they just start a timer when you pull the battery tab and remind you on an app when the timer is up. Like, set a calendar reminder and save some electronic waste. But my manager would kill for us to get into applications like that.
