v0.3 of Heffalump (a Mastodon client for PalmOS) is out now! This release (finally) adds the ability to view your own past toots, as well as replies (to both your own and others' toots).

You can grab the app and the conduit installer from the release here: github.com/knickish/heffalump_ or read more about Heffalump generally here: knickish.com/palm/rust/2023/09

Also, hotsync_conduit_rs now supports syncing of application preferences in case you need that while writing a conduit for your own new PalmOS application.

@knickish I wonder how much it takes to couple that library with github.com/jichu4n/pilot-link, creating fully cross-platform conduits.

@knickish I thought my Palm was only good for Dope Wars.

@knickish I have a box with various Palm devices. Plus the wonderful WebOS Palm phones!

Why the hell did a stylus cease to be standard equipment on handhelds? Finger-oriented user interfaces suck. Everything is huge and labeled only by an icon.

@argv_minus_one @knickish Except the hamburger menu in the Mastodon iOS client, which is too small to accurately hit with a finger.

@sboots @knickish right? and it fits in so well because, like, there was a time all software was little client apps, not enormous web pages

@knickish
....starting rummaging in old drawers where the old Work Pad should be sleeping....

@knickish how would one connect a palm to a modern WiFi? This is a blocker for me.
