@davidho @tamitha main problem I see with the one in that image - is it just a charging outlet? Because without the *other hardware required to bill you for that electricity* no city will do it and just foot the bills for any EV that happens to park near a lamp-post.

@heals @davidho Looks like a QR code strapped to the pole near the top of the photo.

Could be some sort of explanation about being a pilot program, or paid by local taxes, or something else.

@tamitha @davidho good reasoning, though "paid by local taxes" implies "requires proof you live here or otherwise you're scamming people for their taxes” :|

@tamitha @davidho - just so I don't come over as the hater that I'm not -- I love the idea and it would make owning an EV a lot more of a consideration for me because I do not have my own parking spot or garage so it's extremely difficult for me to charge a vehicle outside of a few shopping malls / at work.
