I don't see any "technical" issue with curl|sh, but do you really think that normalizing the act of downloading and executing random code from the internet is a good idea, without any social proof?

Sure, my mom wouldn't be doing curl|sh anyway but I'm thinking of a linux newbie who learns that "it is okay to curl|sh" and ends up installing all sorts of crap in their system.

@raphael A Linux newbie who installs Asahi Linux via curl|sh from macOS hopefully understands that this is just for the OS and not how you then go on to install arbitrary Linux software. We have a package manager :p

@raphael @marcan I actually think yes, it's good for legitimate projects to legitimize curl|sh precisely because it has an unfairly maligned reputation and this is the way to fix that.
