@olamundo @libreleah Yep, I've been Meta-free for almost four years. I've had an immediate quality of life improvement, as I found all their apps to have a negative effect on my personal life. The only thing I miss is Instagram, but that's why I'm now running a Pixelfed instance. @atomicpoet @libreleah What is your insance? If you want to say it, of course. I find that federation at Pixelfed is still not great - hard to see what people post from other instances. Still, I am a big supporter of the project as a way to supplant that spionage bullshit. @olamundo @libreleah The instance is peerverse.space. Registrations are currently closed as I continue to test, and figure out things like SMTP and customized CSS. I agree that federation isn't great, but I've still managed to get better engagement than when I had an Instagram account. See this blog post: https://blog.peerverse.space/my-pixelfed-instance-is-a-bigger-success-than-i-could-ever-have-predicted/ Crying generic oppression because some company doesn't want them taking up space on their servers is so strange. It being a public company doesn't mean God has personally given everyone the right to use it. |
@atomicpoet @libreleah I think the only justifiable speech on Twitter is to boost FLOSS plataforms.
While there is *NO* good use to Facebook (and subsidiaries). Shaming users is justified.
