Set-up wasn't too hard for me (I switched to Linux Mint) but some devices have funny secure boot protections that make it a little harder. It wasn't too bad, though.

At least for me, the maintenance has been pretty minimal, but I haven't needed specific professional software that I couldn't get in a web version. You mentioned Quicken—is there an online version of Quicken you can use? I understand that Quicken runs well on Linux using CrossOver.
