Seemed like a nice feature but I think it was dropped or lost somewhere along the process

@ranx no I mean the original .jpg you're trying to upload, it might be something in the metadata I think?
Also are you using a stock ROM?

It's even stranger because I have an S9 and an S6 and I did test the app on both, one would think that Samsung software won't change as much across device generations 🤔
