- You can have a persistent 'following' feed in the center of your screen, which makes Threads feel 100 percent more real-time
- You can also set 'following' to auto-update, so new posts appear as they are posted
- Can also set up feeds for tags and searches

There's lots more to do here, but I'd say this is the smartest thing Meta has done with Threads since launching it last July.
