Does the package create, store, encrypt, and retrieve passwords? Then it still has all the "features" I ever wanted anyway.

The removed features should all be plugins anyway, for exactly the reasons implied in the updated package description.

All of those extra "features" are also bug surface and attack surface, both of which you want as little as physically possible in a password manager.

And that safest-possible version should be the default version.
