Leaving “Sent from my iPhone” on is a complete release from the aesthetic jail of composing a well crafted email. Just throw words onto your screen and send. You are set free, there is no form to bend to

@tvler What that sort of thing says to me is either "this person doesn't know how to turn it off" or "this person think[s] digital watches are a pretty neat idea".

@tvler I always get high blood pressure when I read this sentence.

@tvler I try to use formal wording but I don't do the preambles or postambles anymore.

@gudenau @tvler I always open my emails with a reference to the person they are meant for. Than means polite people will stop reading and anyone who reads past that point cannot claim it was a good faith mistake.

@jhavok @tvler Most of my emails are to support so it's whomever reads it.

@tvler A Boomer friend has his set to "Sent from my you-know-what. Could say anything."

He finds this continually hilarious. I just shake my head.

@tvler setting it as the signature on your desktop as well is the pro move

@tvler
My dad used to have "Sent from my Atari 2600" as his signature

Jumile

@tvler When that was first introduced, I changed mine to say "Sent from my Commodore 64"

I mean what's the point of a non-sequitur flex if its not saying something objectively cool?
