I hadn't visited @OpenInfraMap in a while: it's a pretty impressive custom rendering of power and telecommunication infrastructure in OpenStreetMap.  @migurski @alan @OpenInfraMap it's a few years old, but you may enjoy this interview with the maker @russss @migurski @alan @OpenInfraMap  @Iragersh TagInfo, which shows stats on what OSM Tags are in use, has a way for other projects to register as uses of a tag. Just learned that apparently there is a 110kV line just 10m from my couch. 😅  @alan @OpenInfraMap Also, if you switch on the "Telecoms" layer in the layer selector (in the toolbar on the right, last icon) you can see some submarine cables and many telecoms towers. Looks like this kind of equipment is very under-mapped as well, though. |
