@Lukas What amazes me is why companies like Origin and AGL are not leaning in and sponsoring the use of induction cooktops. This is exactly the opportunity.

It's pretty obvious why the gas networks are sponsoring MasterChef, and it has nothing to do with "using bio-methane" or "cooking with green hydrogen". Because unless the ordinary watcher somehow got their own pipeline, they don't get to use those - they just fire up the old dirty non-offset gas (I refuse to call it 'natural').

@PaulWay Agree. Origin and AGL are up to their necks in gas as well and are completely invested in maintaining their gas assets for as long as possible while delaying real #climateaction.

For the last month or so, Gas ads have appeared in almost every ad break (unrelenting) during Channel 10's flagship shows. And #MasterChefAU has been dragging its feet on switching to induction cooktops for years. However, the latest integration of gas propaganda into the show's content has been staggering. They are now shouting out what was once the quiet bits.
