Gregory's ServerI have a 13 year old HD Samsung Smart TV which still runs like a dream but is too old to run anything other than HDMI cables to both my Apple TV and Kids' X-BOX. All the apps we need are on either or both devices. You do not have to subscribe the Apple TV's streaming platform it's just a good device for streaming TV, movies, etc. You can even stream from your phone to apple TV.
