biometrics are worthless for security and are mainly useful for surveillance because they have no plausible deniability by definition. the only differentiating factor for biometrics is that they can never be replaced once compromised

also systems to authenticate biometrics are highly statistical and extremely error-prone which is a massive risk to take unless you also really want surveillance
