Nothing new, we've had Eliza chatbots offering unsolicited "free as in 'free puppy''" psychotherapy advice to strangers as far back as the original IRC network in the early 90's, and probably even earlier on relay: @meltedcheese It labels itself as "Meta AI" in the comments, so it's not hidden. It's just that it will hallucinate responses as though it is a person. I saw one from yesterday where it says it has a camera for sale (in a "buy nothing" group) |
@jasonkoebler sounds like it's just dumping somebody else response because the question was so specific…
