@compost does this include energy use for the things that are manufactured elsewhere that these countries import?
If a country simply moves out production elsewhere and then declares itself to be using 100% renewable energy, that's just sophistry.

I am by no means an expert in this field, the only area that I could understand is how to produce biogas with compost.
It is worth noticing that solutions exist and even if they are not perfect we should encourage alternatives for the climate.
