@jerbear @LightTheUnicorn I've been meaning to set up a fedi client on my Clie, I was trying to set up a second router with weaker security for my retro devices but the router I got was busted, in the meantime I have to just run my guest wifi on my main router without security (since it won't do WEP), but obviously that's not ideal. I have just turned it on for a bit here and there for messing with things then turning it back off

@jerbear @LightTheUnicorn I'm just excited I finally HAVE a Clie with wifi, there weren't a lot of those.

Light 2.0 for B&W Macintosh

@lori @jerbear I have one of those tiny TP-Link travel routers, that I hotspot to my phone and brodcast a WEP network from in very short, temporary bursts.

Works a treat for ancient wifi and just needs microUSB power, model TL-WR820N if it helps!

@LightTheUnicorn @jerbear ohhh I like that since it's portable, I definitely like the idea of being able to use that remotely. All the results I am finding are in europe though so I'm going to see if there's maybe a different model number in the US, I assume this exists here in some form. If not I'll find something similar.

@lori @jerbear Yep! It's how I've taken my Airport-equipped G3 Macs out and about with an internet connection, super useful little things for retro chaos.

Argh, yes, didn't stop to think it might be a Euro model. I think a lot of the TP-Link and maybe others from about that age should do WEP.
