So, despite many claims that "guy" is gender-neutral, we all know that it isn't.

And sure, we have an equivalent in "gal", but what about our ungendered and non-conforming friends?

I propose, instead of guys and gals, we just use goobers.

@DelilahTech It is most not gender neutral I would say. It’s a very male word that has been claimed as the only word for that purpose.

My kids (only girls) wonders why people use that word when talking about a group of girls.

Goobers is way better in that way.

@DelilahTech goobers is cool. I like that. I have tried (and still occasionally fail) to stop using "Guys".
