@Salvo can you direct me to more info? I only just heard about them and haven't read much, I know the vehicles that do the charging aren't electric but assumed they were battery for the DC fast charge, not diesel generator, that is nuts.

@kudra the size of a battery able to generate enough current to charge an EV would be the size of a semi trailer. Fast charging is only possible on mains power due to the amount of current required. There is no shame in getting your vehicle towed when you forget to have range anxiety. Most people who run out of petrol or diesel in their ICE vehicles get their vehicles towed when they run out of fuel, or when they get a flat tyre. @Salvo enough to get them to the nearest charger only perhaps, not fully charged? @kudra sure. https://mobileevcharging.com.au/about-us/ https://mobileevcharging.com.au/gallery/ You can hear the diesel generators running in the video. |
@Salvo in a couple of places they state "Many mobile chargers use renewable energy sources" so assumed they had at least some vehicles that were battery.
