@gamingonlinux This is great news. I feel like it's long over due so excited to see it come out. @gamingonlinux oh.. so now, 3 years after I stopped having 'children' and now have young adults, this is ok, despite asking #Steam for it .. way back when. #SteamOnLinux :blobcat_rollingeyes: don't get me wrong Proton is Fine++ but it's not the only thing that needed developer time, well you know, beyond the mindless UX churn that fascinates them . . @gamingonlinux The new changes are great, however they introduced a new term that completely screws it for me is that no longer can you have cross-region accounts in the same family. Which cuts me off from my family. Which worked before just fine. I realise this is to prevent cross-region purchasing shenanigans, which Valve has constantly had so many bad-eggs ruin things with, but it really does make my LDR that much harder. Not cool :( @ThatLuna I can easily see why they've done that though, there's not really all that many legit use cases for sharing a family across the world, it's supposed to be for a single household @gamingonlinux I've seen a few people on steam forums already talk about abroad family etc, there's a lot of criticism of the updates on that. We'll see how this turns out |
@gamingonlinux Great news! have been running into issues accessing the rest of my games while my son is playing #helldivers :)
