@mhoye I would love that course to focus the first ⅓ on the names of all the contributors to the codebases run in computer shops from 1975 to the present, then in the second ⅓ fan that out into where the money came from, then in the final ⅓ the tooling currently listed in job openings with a breakdown of which companies foot the bill for the ongoing maintenance and development of said tooling.
Really drive the message home what problems computing is currently funded to address.
