And I was mining Monero and doing pretty well for some coffee money, and then Binance delisted them and fucked the whole thing up. It is impossible to casually do crypto for some spending cash and compete against the whales and ASIC boys. Cool in principle. Just as influenced by greed and toxic capitalism.

Yeah, I use to poke around at it because was interesting from certain stand point. Was mostly interested in the fact be way to give something in return for computing units in BOINC/F@H. But, once I saw the finance sector and big VCs start dumping money into it. Yeahhhhhhhhh, knew that shit was gonna get milk to hell and be turned into a quick way to scam folks out of money.  @Beeks @nonfedimemes I'm okay with that closeness. I won't flat-out say that #crypto is garbage because it does have some valuable concepts surrounding scarcity, which is why we have garbage fiat. HOW it's being executed...is garbage. |
