@ariadne Adélie would have switched a few years ago if journald wasn't still joined at the hip with it. If there was an effort to make a systemd without journald I'd be all-in. So tired of dealing with OpenRC bull.

@awilfox ironically it is journald which is why a lot of people want it now, because it turns out journald has grown into something decent

@ariadne I mean I wrote this less than two months ago, so I'd be surprised if it's actually improved since then. But if that's what people want, it certainly wouldn't be the first time I've been completely out of touch 🤷‍♀️

@awilfox @ariadne https://learn.netdata.cloud/docs/working-with-logs/systemd-journal/ CEO of monitoring company decided to make it a core component and invested time to fix it, it seems like it has became much more decent in a short amount of time (not so surprising tbh, this is code :p -- we know how to fix it!)
