You know that thing where something disappears and people go "I remember all the stuff they had, there was nothing like that, it was special, I'm sad it's gone"? Well, that's the Internet Archive, and the contributions collections are brimming every day with stuff I constantly go "I had no idea anyone ever made a PDF of that obscure emphemera". Oh, and we're not gone, with no plans to be gone. Anyway, enjoy the place. It's special. 3 comments

@textfiles if it wasn't for the diligent work of the Internet Archive, we wouldn't have a very thorough archival of the Nintendo Wii U's miiverse, a legitimate cultural snapshot from its birth to its death and I can not stress enough just how much I appreciate the work everyone at the archive has done to keep record of all of the things happening in this world "important," or not.  |
