Another github account of mine got hidden. No dumb usernames this time, no disposable emails.
Don't get me wrong, hiding suspicious activity is ok, but you should perhaps notify the user somehow, ask them to verify that they're human via captchas or their phone number, request contacting support, etc. But no, github only employs literal shadowbanning, on a tech collaboration platform. We aren't talking about random shitposts and cringe memes but about features someone requested.
I wonder how many other useful contributions this thing killed š¤
@lonelyowl what exactly is "hidden"? Like, no one can see your issues, PRs?
