(We’re an escape room. We clearly do not need, for instance, outsourced remote QA services, or a senior engineering manager, or etc)

there's definitely some crap "automation". try posting a job offer that has the word "engineer" anywhere in it and you'll be inundated with recent EE grads from india and no experience with anything you're doing.
it's the same quality of "AI" that winds up with netflix recommending "taken" after you've watched "love actually" because they both have liam neeson in them.
really? can't spend 30 seconds doing something better?
