CelloMom On Cars

San Francisco, Chinese New Year.
The streets are PACKED with people celebrating. A robotaxi muscles its way through, carrying no passenger.

So it's an empty robot car, taking up the space of a dozen people standing, barging through the crowd which is crowded.

And police are scratching their heads about how the car ended up torched.

@CelloMomOnCars Anyone who claims they saw anything is a scab.

@CelloMomOnCars What can we do to encourage this trend?

@CelloMomOnCars That’s some sound rationale for hooliganism!

@CelloMomOnCars This sounds like what I've been afraid of by working in some sort of task automation. Some folks could feel helpless when learning some jobs can be automated. They could become angry.

@CelloMomOnCars I guess Waymo should add a patch to their software to avoid trying to drive through crowds of people - something that would be obvious for human drivers.

We're all NOT trying to find the guy who did this

@CelloMomOnCars
How are those things even REMOTELY considered to be street safe? When an unlicensed person drives one it's considered to be a death machine on wheels??
