Scrolling through twitter, I keep having to remind myself of a few rules for staying out of unnecessary drama, and most of them revolve around the question "should I respond to this?" The internal questions go like this: 1) Is anything improved in the thread by my response? 2) Will anyone listen or care to hear my opinion? 3) Is responding worth the potential backlash? 4) Has it already been stated? 5) Do I actually care about what's being discussed? I'll think about it and more often than not, if I realize that I have to actually *argue* with myself whether or not to respond to something, it *probably* means that it's not worth the effort. Whatever negative feelings I may have had that tempted a reply in the first place *will* fade... or I'll find another thing to distract me instead. Previously something like this would have been next to impossible. @LunaFoxgirlVT Did you know any of this...? Lol, lmao. Now i'm extra glad alternatives exist, like Inochi2D. |
