I’m feeling the same way. The ActivityPub world looks like a largely blank canvas where a bunch of misfits :-) only started drawing something amazing in some corner. It can become this amazing giant live mural (if there is such a thing) glittering in all the colors and constantly transforming itself, with no overlords in sight.

Current tech generation of AI, in comparison, has too many wannabe overlords and its limits built right in.
