@antoniof has been doing some fantastic work on the new Nautilus file chooser. We're finally getting to a point where we'll be shipping a usable adaptive file chooser upstream.

The last boost got me blocked by Aral, so now I'm treating it as a general message: If you're frustrated with the state of accessibility on Linux, please help us understand what isn't working for you or for those you care for. And please understand that we want to do better, and we're actively working to do better.

It really is a shame that platforms like Reddit and Twitter are gatekeeping their APIs. It makes it impossible to build native apps for said platforms.

Just want to say kudos to all of the people within GNOME working to make it more accessible, and building up a modern accessibility stack for Wayland.

When making adaptive apps for GNOME, it's important that you don't think of smaller sizes as being a mobile mode. You still need to account for desktop users that simply want to use a smaller window - like if they're using a small laptop.

Be mindful that all your UI elements are still accessible with the pointer and via keyboard navigation.
