  @anon_opin big talk from the place that invented "the sun never sets on the British empire" They taught us in school you can recognise hydrogen sulphide by its rotten egg smell but who has ever smelled actual rotten eggs? Why are your eggs going rotten? It's the other way round - they taught us what rotten eggs smell like by giving us a whiff of hydrogen sulphide.

 @anon_opin those of use that hide eggs for easter and manage to only find some of them months later...  @anon_opin I have. Sometimes they just don't get used in time, especially if they were short date or food surplus or something. Always do the float check, but if you're not careful about how you bin a bad one, you know about it.  @anon_opin Nothing bad in 40+ years of cooking. Two bad in the last six months. Dear *gods* the stench is *awful*. The kitchen reeked for hours, and I'd not spilled more than a couple of drops. Girls are often named after beautiful things like Rose, Jasmine, Ruby and Lily. Perhaps we should have more boys named after practical things like Spanner, Shelf and WD40.    |
