Last July, Mary Parker - a female spider who lives in my loft - made her way to my living room to lay eggs.
She had protected her eggs for a month before they hatched.
Mary shed two of her legs, which served as the first source of food for her hatchlings. Her legs grew back within a week.
Mary was circa 2cm wide. Her hatchlings were too tiny to photograph. They were also see-through.
They are all back in my loft now.
