'I saw the sun coming out,' said Frog. 'I saw birds sitting and singing in a tree. I saw my mother and father working in their garden. I saw flowers in the garden.'

Then Frog and Toad went out onto the front porch to wait for the mail.

'Toad,' said Frog, 'I will hold the ball of string. You hold the kite and run.'

Frog drank the tea, and then he said, 'Tell me a story while I am resting.'

There was only some wet mud and a lizard who was chasing his tail.

And all the next day Toad played music for his seeds.

Frog came to Toad's house. He looked in the window.

“Good,” said Frog. “Toad is out. He will never know who raked his leaves.”

We will skip through the meadows and run through the woods and swim in the river.

Toad looked at the ground again. The seeds did not start to grow.

Toad put his head very close to the ground and shouted, “NOW SEEDS, START GROWING!”

Frog came into the house. ‟I have brought you some things to wear,” he said.

They began to look for the button in the tall grass.

‘Frog, I am glad to have a brave friend like you,’ said Toad. He jumped into the bed and pulled the covers over his head.

'And I am happy to know a brave person like you, Toad,’ said Frog. He jumped into the closet and shut the door.
