Lap full of black cats. Mia (left) and Ragnar (right). If my third black cat were more social he would fit as well, but alas Bear dislikes being close to other cats. A while back we made a ball pit for our cats with a bunch of ping pong balls. Here, Bear enjoys it (we think, Bear is hard to read and often grumpy). POV: you're going to sleep. Ragnar (left) and Nutmeg (right) almost always secure my legs when I go to bed. Saffron has a new morning routine where she screams until I pick her up and give her pets on my lap. Can't start the work day without it. She's our little tripod cat (lost a rear leg as a kitten, probably from a predator, before we adopted her). Here's Mia, a semiferal we "stole" from our neighborhood when we moved cross country. She clearly used to be a housecat and subsequently abandoned, and it took a long time to gain her trust. She'd visit our back patio and get food and water, and we put out a shelter for inclement weather. Didn't seem fair to leave her behind so she's a full time housecat now and probably the best behaved and nicest semiferal ever. 11 years ago today this weirdo arrived in my household. Bear is maybe 15 or 16 years old now, cranky and arthritic but still overall a good boy. Happy #caturday from Odin. Almost completely blind and fighting cancer, but still a loving ball of energy. |
