Just a kind reminder to YouTubers, if you source from @gamingonlinux (seems an increasing amount are doing so!) please include a link to the articles you used in your desc :) If you come to @gamingonlinux and attempt to make a comment arguing about SJW, pretending you're "not a bigot" while clearly acting like one, and trying to post a wall of text being against a simple CoC telling people basically "don't be a dick"....you will be instantly banned with the comment not approved. All new users have comments go through approval for a while first. It's a system that has worked *very* well to keep our comments a little more focused and respectful. The Linux community seemingly will never get over: - Bad thing happens It's so silly. It's a real shame Mastodon is only "exploring" the ability to restrict who can reply to a post. Threads has it, Twitter has it, even Bluesky has it. @ThePlant usually closed replies scream "I'm unable to listen to feedback" which is not creating a good reputation for a person doing that @ThePlant And a $500 google play gift card to show you're serious about working with Sony AI. /s People *really* don't understand code ownership do they. Quite a few people groaned at me and complained I said Microsoft "donated" Mono to the Wine team on @gamingonlinux "Hurr how can they donate what's FOSS" Well, they owned it, it was their project (after buying Xamarin). Yeah it's FOSS, but you can't just take someone else's FOSS project, put it on your GitHub and claim you suddenly own it. You forked it, you don't own the name, the community doesn't come with it etc etc. @gamingonlinux I get it's a somewhat complicated thing, but it's such a silly thing to basically attack me over. Losers.

#altText4U Norwegian: slut datafag Swedish is a bit odd too. Seem to be having an odd issue on @gamingonlinux for me only on mobile, but others say they have seen it on desktop too. On a cold load of a browser, it won't detect the login cookie until a page refresh. Anyone know why that might happen? I've never seen it on desktop (chrome / firefox), but I can 100% reproduce if I swipe away Firefox on iPhone and then reload it and boom no login cookie, refresh and it's there....wtf. But Safari can be swiped away, reloaded and still logged in. I don't remember who did it but whoever runs the plain news bot @gamingonlinux needs to adjust their parser to remove the image. Anyone love their Amiga stuff? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dememuskermedia/retro-gaming-library-amiga-edition/ My brother and his pals are doing a cool looking book. Home from me lil holiday and phew knackered, will get back to @gamingonlinux later in the week ❤️ Just FYI, i’m away all weekend on holiday so won’t be around for @gamingonlinux so if you could just not break it while I’m away, thanks internet pals. |
@ThePlant ruh roh
It's obviously not a bug, because they deleted the FAQ entry for the partner program, so this feels like bit of a rug-pull.
Especially bad, because some months it's like half my income, ouch time.
