I know it's only November, but I'd like to make a request: if you are buying toys for kids in the next couple of months, and think you might have old ones that you want to clear out, please consider donating them before the holidays rather than after. Shelters and charities always get a glut of donations in January, but they'd be more useful to the families who need them now rather than then. Thank you.

@gvwilson Charities, shelters, daycare centers etc are not allowed, by law in most states, to "regift" used toys, cribs, car seats etc. The rule is to protect the recipient from receiving items that may have a recall or damage that creates a hazard. Additionally, for obvious reasons, they can't accept open food items, including partial cans of formula.
Places like Goodwill throw those items away. They aren't allowed to offer them for sale.
Take a mom/dad shopping or give gift cards.
