@alternativeto is *the* place to find apps. I never would have found many of the apps I use today if it weren't for them. Some examples:

- The Movie Database – IMDB, but nicer.
- Breezy Weather – #FOSS weather app.
- Tasks.org – not a website, but a #FLOSS task manager.

Search "best weather app" and try to find *one* mention of Breezy Weather.

I recommend you check if the app you're using has an alternative occasionally. And if it looks good, try it.

@jellyfin my server on Debian 12 wouldn't restart after the upgrade.

Not sure why, but it seems kestrel lost permissions to listen on ports below 1024.

After manually fixing permissions, it works again.
