sooo I have made an update to wafrn. you might see that old tags are no longer there. They will be back soon and the search function will be back.

why the hassle? well, now tags allow UPPER AND lower case thing! Before it did not store it!

I will fix the old tags soon. its just that there are 250k tags to add to the posts and the query to do it in one go says "fuck off"

@trans_girls_who_eat_subway_wafrnversion the two NSFW buttons are a reliq of the pre fediverse integration. The concept is that people started to use NSFW as an inside joke in wafrn, but then we had people like @Syncope who actually made adult art. The concept is "to see adult content you need to be logged in and your age over 18"

ok-ish news: wafrn is now using some of the indexes it was not using. turns out that mariadb was flat out ignoring most of the indexes that were on the database.

Creating the same schema on mysql said "oi fucker you're trying to create an index on a text field and you havent told me how long you want it"

After doing some changes the slow queries file now fills a lot slower. Still some, but I feel like I can pump up some stuff on the number of workers

wafrn seems to go a bit slow after the updates. I will try adding some cache tomorrow
