Mila really loves the smell of bread and will try to give me all her paws whenever I’m baking 17yo cat and 15yo dog. I love posting my pet photos because I think it’s important that people see how you can have a great time with super senior pets! On weekends I pull out a mattress and sleep in the living room with Mila, my 17yo cat who loves cuddling but can’t come upstairs anymore (arthritis). Her face goes from 0 (cuddling) to 100 (you better wake up now I’m hungry) real quick. (She’s on Solensia, it helps; we can’t use ramps because of the way our apartment is designed) I was telling my wife, imagine life from cookie’s perspective: strangers tell her she’s cute and they love her every five minutes, internet fans root for her, the streets of the world are filled with delicious edible food, even when it’s trash. like the very high Californian woman once told me when I was walking her: ‘this dog like, totally looks like she has NO TRAUMAAAAAA’ (Other than having to go to the vet sometimes) My cat yelled nonstop in the middle of the night so I would come downstairs to be her mattress (she weighs 15lbs and she just wanted to sleep on my tummy all night) When I get home, it’s not the dog that greets me at the door (that one’s completely deaf now), it’s this giant cat I adore We didn’t know what we were going to get when we adopted an 11 year old cat who had been abandoned in Tracy, CA. The cat rescuer said Mila (called Princess Mia then) came running when she saw a can of chicken. There’s all we knew about her: she loves chicken. It’s been 6 years with her and she’s doing great despite all of her serious health problems as a senior. I am in love with her. She gets a lot of chicken |
