@samhenrigold Haha, yeah it might seem weird, but I appreciate that you still said it. @samhenrigold “I don’t want to live in a world where other people make the world a better place better than we do” Looking forward to Google IO; I'm hoping they start throwing unsold Nexus Q's into the crowd to punish them for not buying one earlier. i mean this looks great on paper, i just gotta run this past the C-suite, the directors, the VPs, the board, the exec team, the senior leadership team, the management team, the leadership team, the “heads of”, the ops team, the team leaders, the work stream leads, the supervisors, th testing something. multiple choice: Anonymous poll

I see your category-based home screen layout and raise you object shape-based organization everyone is talking about final cut being a subscription on ipad. the alternative is a $300 iPad app. I'd have trouble choking down an iPad app above $20. idk, some mental barrier just prevents me from spending that much on mobile software

@samhenrigold I also probs would've bought Final Cut on mac sooner if I could have done $50/year instead of $300 up front... @samhenrigold Agreed. Folks would either complain about the monthly cost or the large one time fee, then having to pay again when a new version comes out. I think monthly is the best option. Also opens the door to a casual user who may be interested to edit time to time only. finally them putting a whole freaking M1 into an iPad starts making a nonzero amount of sense is printing out long documents and circling paragraphs with a highlighter just catnip for youtube essayists we have this debate after every episode in our household but i’m curious on the general vibe: which roy kid is the *worst* (however you interpret/define it) Anonymous poll

(also chris murphy is fine??? he won with 60% of the vote; he doesn’t need some guy’s 25 dollars) there’s no easy way to get back to the top level of the wikipedia app, so you just need to trace your steps backwards over days of use. it always ends up looking like the weirdest research session.

@samhenrigold In Windows 11 when doing a search in Explorer there’s this little progress drop-down you can hit and all it does is show a 32x32 Windows-Vista-era spinner. I think about it every day. Android still comes with the 2.x black-grey-orange theme for backwards compatibility. You can still use it in an app. over the course of one phone call, here are the various things my father has said when he meant to use the word “gaslighting”: me: "you mean gas light?" |
