@gamingonlinux First I'm reading about this cross platform Nexus app. Really neat, will help with modding on Deck. Right now you need quite a bit of terminal hackery and Proton knowledge to get mods going on Deck

@gamingonlinux The ODBC support, while not important for gaming, is really good to hear about. Lots of weird proprietary Windows software uses it for generic database support.

@gamingonlinux just tried it. Nice look, was missing the mouse at first. Setting the keyboard was a bit unexpected - being able to set a second key for things would also been nice. These are no problem compared to the lags. Sometimes it's fluid, sometimes the game just hangs - I hear the sound of crashing but see no new frames. Happens often and seems like loading parts of the map or something. Uplayable for me.
Tested with Kubuntu Linux 5.15 i76700K GTX970 32G Ram M2SSD

@gamingonlinux Iโ€™m going to assume my 7 year old laptop with โ€œintel irisโ€ nothing of a graphics chip doesnโ€™t stand a chance with it ๐Ÿ˜…

Do you play games? Congrats, you may call yourself a gamer if you wish and donโ€™t let anyone tell you otherwise ๐Ÿ‘

@gamingonlinux Sometimes I have to make the computer play Tic Tac Toe solo just so it doesn't kill us all.

@gamingonlinux As far as i know, the concept of gamer is defined as "A person who plays videogames in any device that allows it"

There's no big mistery here

@gamingonlinux Iโ€™m glad the community is putting in the effort of bringing GOG to Linux. The Steam Deck made me switch back to Steam, as itโ€™s just a nicer overall experience. Hopefully, this new project can help bridge the gap.

@gamingonlinux I have to say that I've been kind of looking forward to this.

I saw this project being mentioned in the talk about "Linux Gaming beyond Steam" at the Ubuntu Summit, so I've been keeping tabs on it.

I am really glad to see that more progress has been made and we are getting closer to fully supporting the Communication Service.
