@gamingonlinux As long as competition stays healthy and fun, everyone wins. ๐ PR: "Hey Gaming On Linux check out this game *loads of PR speak*" Me: "Oh cool, what's the status of Linux and Steam Deck support?" PR: "We don't support either sorry."

@gamingonlinux promote a game like it that is on linux, and boast how it's better because of it until they get the picture lol @gamingonlinux "Asked for free publicity, software doesn't even install properly on my system, 0/5 stars" @gamingonlinux I thought you had a service agreement stuck on your mail server that the sender has to agree on GPL all games and provide a Linux native binary of them too if connecting to your mail server.๐ What are some of your pet peeves with the Steam Deck right now that you want to see Valve solve? #SteamDeck

@gamingonlinux cloud gaming integration. Wish I could just press play and launch a game in GFN - No text note taking function in the overlay - Steam Input doesn't allow you to use anything but pre-set gyro activation buttons - Deckyloader not a native feature to encourage more plugin development despite how much of a game changer it is - Steam Input crashes lots when you load it with a lot of information - Valve needs to be proactive about pestering devs to add anticheat support and work with them instead of "just check a box lol" which isn't enough Still love it. @gamingonlinux Hoping it's the 7040 series and not the 7045 series. 7045 would mean it has to be paired with a RDNA 3 7000 series mobile GPU which is delayed to summer. @gamingonlinux I am a little bit curious. What is the current status of drivers for Radeon-based graphic cards on Linux? My last experience is from 2018 and those were crappy and unstable (I am talking about fglrx). So far my stance is that I am not going to have Radeon card on my own free will and my own money. Were the things improved? Shall I give them the chance? @gamingonlinux Iโm so happy they are doing this! I really enjoyed the controller design Echoing the sentiment of others, this will keep at least two controllers of mine out of the landfill. Now let's hope the battery last cause when Gamers Nexus attempted to teardown the controller it did not give up without a long and arduous fight. @gamingonlinux Just finished it and didnโt have any issues, it was pretty straight forward. Deep Rock Galactic sold 2.3 million copies last year and I'm not surprised - it's awesome

@gamingonlinux not at all, game is in a tragic state, I recommend to steer clear of this game. speaking as an early access player of the game, I have to say, LEGIT nothing got better with that game @gamingonlinux I have way too many hours in this game. I also want to implement dual contouring like they did (or better). TBT to when contributor Samsai utterly roasted me clipping bits of me playing Half-Life 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8E0osQdzyFY The next release of 0 A.D. will have experimental Vulkan API support. Great news for this open source RTS! @gamingonlinux Such an underrated gameโฆ And the fact that this #game is completely #OpenSource - not to mention the fact that it is made by volunteers with no official income stream (only the occasional donation) - is mind blowing. If you havenโt played 0A.D. yet, youโre missing out on something truly special. | #0AD #Linux #macOS #Windows #RTS #gaming #videogames #PCgames #PCgaming #AoE #AgeofEmpires New Steam Linux & Steam Deck Beta fixes up a major bug https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/01/new-steam-linux-steam-deck-beta-fixes-up-a-major-bug/ @gamingonlinux i had this bug yesterday, was driving me insane- even Cinnamon had a tough time logging out Dino Run DX has the source code opened up https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/01/dino-run-dx-has-the-source-code-opened-up/ JSAUX: Retweets their partnership with a scam store and then says nothing after removing it. @gamingonlinux So? Why should I support a bigot, even if she "wasn't involved" with this game? (As if that means something.) @gamingonlinux Rookwood curses Anne and frames the goblins. Also your teacher dies in every ending @gamingonlinux I got to the menu at least, but when creating my character it looses connection due to EAC it seems Looks like The Division 2 is not Steam Deck playable. Easy Anti Cheat gets stuck in a loading loop. Damn, the metal plate on the JSAUX clear back Steam Deck case sounds like quite a fire hazard if the reviewer could only take a few seconds touching it before "i feel like my skin is going to burn" @gamingonlinux yeah I would buy one in a heartbeat if it didn't have that metal plate. I don't understand who thinks it's a good idea. Even if the stock thermals weren't enough (which they are), having an externally exposed heat sink is just bad product design. @gamingonlinux assuming APU power is cut at 105 C it's just bad user experience. Doubtful it will cause any fires, just a dumb idea! Very doubtful that small of a surface area could even achieve any noticeable cooling. @gamingonlinux oh look, just like the Pentium 4 daysโฆ Intel is chasing after the GHz againโฆ I wonder how underwhelming this โThermal Velocity Boostโ will be. I meanโฆ what kind of ridiculous name is that! Only thing with any kind of thermal velocity will be your CPU cooler screaming fast velocity towards overheating. @gamingonlinux oh boy i can't wait to be hitting those 300+ watts on average during heavy workloads

@gamingonlinux Okay no I'm sorry, I can't leave this alone. Nobody should follow Steven Crowder for any reason, not even Linux gaming. |
@gamingonlinux
if things keep improving at this rate linux vr might be close to windows parity by the time i can afford a headset

(in Scooby voice) "Aaarooo?"
Yeah, I got the 1st Rift consumer (not beta) release. Really loved where that was going.
Then Milquetoast Palpatine bought it and completely ruined everything.

@gamingonlinux Been really struggling to get the Valve Index working under Linux personally... First I had issues due to steam being installed as a flatpak, and had to install it just using the .deb, then had issues with kernel and driver version compatibility, now having issues with using it as an audio source with pipewire as it doesn't become an audio source unit you start the SteamVR application, and Pop!_OS doesn't become aware of it... It's a NIGHTMARE...
