@gamingonlinux I predict there will be one more Steam Deck. Valve doesn't do the number "3". 😂

@gamingonlinux Sounds good to me. We don’t need an incremental Steam Deck 2. Now that Valve finally has a hardware hit on their hands they need the next few steps to not stumble. Wow potential customers with a generational leap in performance.

@gamingonlinux Monster Sanctuary felt like a good Proof-Of-Concept. The systems were great, but the world, level-design and story were very boring.

Also most of the monsters were too similar. There were basically around 10 archetypes and the rest were variations on them.

So this has the potential to be great if they learned the right lessons.

@gamingonlinux I would so much want a good game of that kind with a good variety of creatures - to be able to let my bugs/insects love just go wild ^^

@gamingonlinux Solid move by Epic and should help lot of devs and also Linux too.

So many games have issues only due to anticheat systems which officially work on Linux but not implemented by devs.

So this should help with that i hope.

@gamingonlinux EOS is perhaps the worst MP backend ever. It's even worse when some games refuse to let you play in single-player (or are heavily crippled) if EOS is down or the domains are blocked by a Pi-hole or similar.

Discord automod is missing the most basic thing: Approve Message.

The only thing you can do is kick/ban the user, or report it being wrong to Discord. No option for mods to approve a message wrongly caught in it. So dumb.

@gamingonlinux Discord Automod is also great at "exposing the lie." It's got really aggressive lately, and it's caused me to end up going, "yeah I'm not at all keen enough on this to feel judged by an automod..."

@gamingonlinux another issue i have is how admins are automactilly excluded from the automod filters
It could be such an easy way to emergency kick hijacked accounts

I want to do more videos and test more games, but my right hand has been seizing up a lot over today and yesterday. Permanent injuries are a bitch :(

I'll hopefully get back to more video stuff when it stops being a big nuisance.

Protip: don't skateboard down a really tall hill at 16, when you don't know what you're really doing, and definitely don't get your wheels stuck in a drain and go flying into a road and land on your wrist 🙃

@gamingonlinux I was hit by a car at 18, hurt my knee badly, never had it checked properly because I was young and dumb.
I am now 36 and the damn thing bothers me daily.
I still don't go to the doctor when I get hurt though, because I am now old and dumb 😝.

@gamingonlinux Can't wait to try this! OOT is one of my favorite games of all time, and I love the randomizers!

Dark Chocobo

@gamingonlinux Goddamned! , this dudes are absolutely legends like the Mario 64 on PC port.

Danny

@gamingonlinux they also publish an appimage (on their discord) that makes getting it on the steam deck super easy!

@gamingonlinux

I don't know what that creature is, but I'm scared. 😱

@gamingonlinux per your comment is at the end of the article, I would strongly encourage you pick this up and try it out. It has aged super well, and is an incredibly well crafted game. I don't play games much, but this one is worth it.

@gamingonlinux Subnautica is a pretty good game- also you do have to manually enable controller support in game (atleast I did last time I setup the game on the deck). But it runs pretty good, and for me is a pretty fun game to play. (Still not completed tho :()
