Lmao. Weirdos.

@gamingonlinux The sheer amount of vitriol I've seen regarding threads is so weird to me. Like the whole idea of the fediverse is to be interconnected, and if you don't want to federate, just block it at the user level. But people are like, frothing at the mouth if you even so much as interact with someone who chooses to federate with threads. If you don't like it, block and move on, no need to insult others who want to federate, its like the whole point of the fediverse Other news sites: many of them run by the same people in suits, adverts covering 50%+ of the screen at all times, trying to be all professional. Clickbait headlines. Us: run solo by @ThePlant, no clickbait, 1 single plain image sponsored thing. We are not the same.

@gamingonlinux @ThePlant@mastodon.socialypu should have started this post with: You will never guess who runs this account, and once you find out it will shock you @gamingonlinux @ThePlant i for one think you're doing a great job. you don't need to defend yourself (unless you want to) 4x space strategy game New Stars hits Early Access, designed for players who don't have endless hours to dedicate to one game https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/12/4x-space-strategy-game-new-stars-hits-early-access/

@gamingonlinux there seems to be an increase of 4X games which don't take ages anymore. @gamingonlinux Looks a lot like Stellaris. If I had hours to burn, there's worse ways than a 4x. @gamingonlinux Stellaris is hard to beat when it comes to this genre, but if it's faster to play and still satisfying, it may have a shot Dark fantasy city-builder Against the Storm 1.0 out and now Steam Deck Verified https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/12/dark-fantasy-city-builder-against-the-storm-10-out-and-now-steam-deck-verified/ Vibrant fantasy retro magical FPS 'Wizordum' is a joy to blast through https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/12/vibrant-fantasy-retro-magical-fps-wizordum-is-a-joy-to-blast-through/ The gorgeous Tails of Iron just got a free expansion https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/12/the-gorgeous-tails-of-iron-just-got-a-free-expansion/ Vampire Survivors: Emergency Meeting is out now https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/12/vampire-survivors-emergency-meeting-is-out-now/ Songs of Conquest now Steam Deck Verified with full gamepad support https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/12/songs-of-conquest-now-steam-deck-verified-with-full-gamepad-support/ War Thunder has another major update with 'Air Superiority' https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/12/war-thunder-has-another-major-update-with-air-superiority/ @gamingonlinux I read "War Thunder has another" and expected another leaked classified stuff :D @gamingonlinux Overall the game is nice, but it has this strange feature: game developers want to convince us that russian tanks are the best. When playing on ratings 4.0 - 5.0 more than half of all vehicles are T-34 and KV-1/2. That is enough to say that there is something wrong with it. Most sites are like this, you actually click through, and it's a loooong list of companies. The web is terrible without adblocks now. It's everywhere, some sites it's literally every other paragraph, and then a video that appears over content and more.

@gamingonlinux This reminds me of how a lot of sites block you if you're using a VPN now; especially predatory sites like Facebook, Reddit & LinkedIn. @gamingonlinux Yes those popups are ironic. If they really did value your privacy they wouldnยดt need to show this stupid popup. I block these stupid cookie-walls with the "I donยดt care about cookies" extension. #Ubuntu 23.04 (Lunar Lobster) reaches End of Life on January 25, 2024. Make sure you're ready to upgrade.
